In the coming months, the first serial deliveries of Ukrainian Bohdana 2S22 155-mm self-propelled howitzers are expected, writes Militarnyi, referring to the interview of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov to Ukrainian Pravda.

As you know, on the eve of the great war, the Ukrainian 155-mm Bohdana 2S22 self-propelled howitzer existed in a single copy and passed fire tests. But this one experimental howitzer got into the war and even participated in liberation of Zmiinyi Island.

In January 2023, Mr. Reznikov reported that serial production of domestic self-propelled howitzers was financed as early as spring 2022. After the Russian missile attacks, the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex launched production in new locations.

“The Ministry of Defense did not advertise this, but all last year we did not stop purchasing weapons and military equipment from domestic manufacturers,” Oleksiy Reznikov said.

2S22 Bohdana is a promising Ukrainian wheeled self-propelled howitzer with a 155 mm caliber gun on the KrAZ-63221 chassis. This is the first Ukrainian self-propelled howitzer designed for the NATO caliber of 155 mm.
