Immediately after the news that Microsoft is investing multibillion funds in OpenAI, the company began integrating artificial intelligence technologies into more of its products and services.
Microsoft has announced that Teams Premium is now available to a wide range of users. The service offers large language models based on OpenAI’s GPT-3.5, as well as other technologies aimed at making meetings “more intelligent, personalized and protected,” Microsoft says.
Teams Premium offers AI-generated chapters in PowerPoint Live and “personalized markers on the timeline to mark when you leave and join a meeting.”
Real-time caption translations are also now available. In the coming months, Teams Premium will be able to automatically generate meeting notes using GPT-3.5. Users will also have access to suggestions for tasks and actions generated by artificial intelligence.
Over time, Microsoft will likely expand the AI capabilities in Teams Premium.
