In a post on the official blog simultaneously with the announcement of the regular giveaway of games on PS Plus in February, Sony also announced a less pleasant thing – namely the end of the promotion called PS Plus Collection.

For those not aware, it’s a selection of two dozen hit PlayStation 4 games that have been available for free to all PlayStation 5 owners since the console’s launch. At the start of its sales of PS5 games, there were few, to put it mildly, so this promotion made the new console much more attractive, especially for those players who “missed” the PS4 generation.

And now, more than two years after its launch, Sony has decided that this promotion has finally fulfilled its mission and can be a thing of the past: the PS Plus Collection will be closed on May 9 of this year. At the same time, all games added to the library will remain in the players’ accounts and will be available if you have an existing subscription to PS Plus, so if you still haven’t managed to get something from this list, you have 3 months left.
