US Department of Defense announced the composition of the next, record package of military aid to Ukraine for an impressive amount of $3.075 billion. Here is what it contains.

  • 50 M2 Bradley IFVs with 500 BGM-71 TOW anti-tank missiles and 250,000 25 mm caliber shells;
  • 100 M113 armored personnel carriers;
  • 55 vehicles with MRAP protection;
  • 138 HMMWV armored vehicles;
  • 18 155-mm self-propelled guns (probably M109A6 Paladin) and 18 vehicles providing ammunition to them;
  • 70,000 155 mm artillery shells;
  • 500 high-precision 155 mm shells (M982 Excalibur);
  • 1,200,155 mm Remote Anti-Armor Mine (RAAM) projectiles;
  • 36 105mm towed howitzers (probably M119) and 95,000 105 mm shells;
  • 10,000 120 mm mortar mines;
  • additional ammunition for HIMARS MLRS ;
  • RIM-7 Sea Sparrow anti-aircraft missiles;
  • 4,000 Zuni unguided air missiles;
  • 2,000 anti-tank missiles;
  • sniper rifles, machine guns and cartridges for grenade launchers and small arms;
  • Claymore antipersonnel mines;
  • night vision devices and optics;
  • spare parts and other field equipment.

Another $225 million from the amount of $3.075 billion will go to support the long-term capacity and modernization of the Ukrainian army, most likely we are talking about the repair and modernization of Ukrainian equipment abroad.

Interesting package. Lots of good stuff and quite a few interesting new items: M2 Bradley, RAAM shells, RIM-7 Sea Sparrow, Zuni missiles. And, of course, additional self-propelled guns and armored personnel carriers. Thank you very much, Mr. Biden!
