ASUS has brought ROG Strix SCAR 18 and 16 top-of-the-line gaming laptops to CES 2023, primarily designed for eSports enthusiasts.
ROG Strix SCAR 18 became the first laptop in the line to receive an 18-inch QHD Nebula Display panel with a refresh rate of 240 Hz. ROG Strix SCAR 16 has a 16-inch Mini LED QHD Nebula HDR Display panel with a refresh rate of 240 Hz. All models support Dolby Vision HDR and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies.
The 16- and 18-inch models in the maximum configuration are equipped with 13th generation Intel Core i9-13980HX processors with 24 cores and 32 threads.
All Strix models in the maximum configuration have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or 4090 graphics card for laptops with Advanced Optimus technology, which ensures high frame rates in games.
In order for the computing components to work efficiently, the notebooks are equipped with a cooling system consisting of a Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal thermal interface on the processor, three fans and ventilation holes on all sides.
All Strix models are equipped with Dolby Atmos virtual surround sound, as well as two-way intelligent noise cancellation technology that filters out background noise for both input and output signals to ensure high-quality voice transmission.
ROG Strix SCAR 18 and 16 received a battery with a capacity of 90 Wh, both models, in addition to standard 330 W chargers, support charging through the USB Type-C port with a power of up to 100 W.
The laptops have built-in Wi-Fi 6E and Ethernet (2.5G LAN) interfaces for high-speed connection to both wired and compatible wireless networks. Both models use webcams with a resolution of 720p.
In both models, the area of the keyboard has been increased, RGB lighting of the keyboard and bottom edge, compatible with Aura Sync technology, has been added. For personalization, you can choose an individual backlight color for each key, and there are also Armor Caps.
