During three days of continuous massive attacks on Ukraine, the Air Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a record number of enemy UAVs in a row. This is reported by Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the first attack on the afternoon of December 31, 2022, 12 cruise missiles of the Kh-101/555 type were destroyed in Kyiv, Zhytomyr and Khmelnytskyi regions by the forces and means of air defense. According to preliminary data, a total of about 20 rocket launches were carried out. Several of them did not reach Ukraine and fell on the territory of Russia. In addition, on December 31, an enemy reconnaissance and strike UAV Orlan-10 was shot down in the Kyiv region.

During the attack on New Year’s Eve from December 31, 2022 to January 1, 2023, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones. Air Defense Forces and other units of the Armed Forces destroyed 45 (!) enemy UAVs. 13 in 2022 and 32 in 2023.

On the night of January 1-2, 2023, Air Defense Forces and other units of the Armed Forces destroyed another 39 Shahed-131/136 UAVs, plus two Orlan-10s and an Kh-59 guided air missile.

In three days, the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 84 Shahed-131/136 UAVs, 3 Orlan-10 UAVs and 13 missiles

In addition, photos of mobile groups of hunters for the “Shaheds” appeared in the public domain, which in the night version consists of banderamobiles with anti-aircraft machine guns and a powerful searchlight on a separate truck. The technologies of the Second World War are back in action!
