Specialists of one of the enterprises of the State Concern Ukroboronprom developed a demining device, which burns out the explosive substance inside the mines. From the outside, this device, a metal burning product (MPM) SF-1, resembles a large pencil or marker.

Due to the exothermic powder mixture, SF-1 effectively burns the metal shells of explosive objects, for example, ammunition or mines. This causes the explosive to burn out.

The developer company SF-1 is an operator of mine countermeasures in Ukraine and has received a certificate that gives the right to carry out demining and other operations with explosive objects on the territory of our country.

As Ukroboronprom informs, developers are already working on the technology of remote use of the SF-1 air defense system using UAVs. This will improve the quality of demining and save people’s lives. Importantly, the SF-1 device is safe to use.
