The Instagram outage is blocking users and telling many of them that “On October 31, 2022, we have temporarily restricted your account.” Ukrainian Instagram users have already become suspicious of the service in a new wave of blocking accounts related with Ukraine, but this is a global failure.
Instagram confirmed the problem on Twitter: “We’re aware that some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram account. We’re looking into it and apologize for the inconvenience.”
Many users have been notified that they are now disconnected from the platform. Because of this, other Instagram account owners immediately saw a decrease in the number of followers, for large accounts the losses amount to millions of followers, which confirms the scale of the problem.
