25th Anniversary Celebration Fallout continues: on its blog, Bethesda among other things announced work on the next-gen patch for Fallout 4.

The update will be free and will appear on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. It will add new graphics modes to the console versions — “performance” with a high frame rate and “quality” with a 4K resolution. On PC this could be done using mods, and the Xbox version at one time received the corresponding patch from Microsoft.

Betehsda also promises bug fixes and additional content from the Creation Club. There is no exact release date yet – it is only known that the update should be released in 2023. Regarding the PC version, players are already wondering whether the updated Fallout 4 will work with numerous custom mods but there is no answer yet.
