Ubisoft announced the next, fifth postponement of the long-suffering release Skull and Bones.

The game, whose development began back in 2013, initially as an expansion for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, was scheduled for release on November 8, 2022. The new date is March 9, 2023.

Apparently, the developers will spend extra time balancing and polishing the game “to provide players with the best gaming experience.” Additionally, the game’s open beta testing is set to begin in the near future. Information about dates and registration for participation in the test will appear later.

At the same time, according to journalist Stephen Totilo, who refers to his own sources at Ubisoft, the company’s expectations for this game are very low.

…it would be better if Ubisoft released Skull and Bones as DLC for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
