ASUS announces the start of sales in Ukraine of a powerful and compact dual-screen laptop Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED (UX8402). It is equipped with an additional touch screen that is larger and brighter than the previous generation.
The ScreenPad Plus installed in the Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED is an additional 12.7-inch full-width touch screen. According to the manufacturer, the tilting mechanism has been completely redesigned and named Active Aerodynamic System Ultra (AAS Ultra). It raises the part of the additional screen away from the user by 20 mm, tilting it by 12° when the laptop is opened, making the ScreenPad Plus more convenient for touch control and content viewing. The resolution of this screen is 2880×864 pixels, the refresh rate is 120 Hz.
ASUS ScreenPad Plus uses the ScreenXpert 3 software shell, which facilitates multitasking thanks to a set of built-in utilities. For example, the Control Panel utility allows you to interact with professional programs for creativity (currently it is compatible with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom Classic, Premiere Pro and After Effects, the manufacturer promises to expand this list in the future).
The main display is a 14.5-inch touchscreen OLED with HDR support (resolution 2880×1800, aspect ratio 16:10) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and support for Dolby Vision technology. The display is characterized by accurate color reproduction, has PANTONE Validated and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certifications and displays a wide color gamut (100% DCI-P3). The peak brightness of the main display is 550 cd/m², and the additional one is 500 cd/m².
Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED can be equipped with Intel Core i7-12700H or i9-12900H processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card for laptops with a total TDP of up to 85 W. The ASUS IceCool Plus system is responsible for cooling the laptop, which uses two quiet IceBlade fans, each with 97 relief blades. They cool the two 8mm heat pipes connected to the CPU and GPU, and the hot air is vented to the outside using the AAS Ultra mechanism.
The maximum RAM capacity is 32 GB (soldered on the board), SSD – up to 2 TB (M.2, NVMe, PCIe 4.0 x4). ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 76 Wh, the dimensions of the body are 323.5×224.7×17.9 mm, the weight is approximately 1.75 kg.
