So it happened. The Mitsubishi ASX crossover of a new generation developed jointly in partnership with the Renault-Nissan alliance, made its debut. But if the latter created their own compact crossovers, then the “three diamonds” either due to haste or unwillingness to make efforts, simply got the Renault Captur model with different logos. You can not even argue here – just look at the photos…

Along with the common design and CMF-B platform, the new Mitsubishi ASX got a unified range of engines. The 1-liter 90-horsepower “turbo” paired with mechanical transmission leads the line, but a more powerful 1.3-liter engine producing 140-155 hp is also planned depending on the type of transmission (mechanical or automatic with a double clutch). In addition, the model will be offered in two hybrid versions built on the basis of a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine. The regular hybrid has a power of 140 “horses”, and the PHEV version can boast of a power of 160 hp. and the ability to cover 47-49 km on one full battery charge.

There are also several interior options, depending on the selected version of the Mitsubishi ASX car. The basic variants of the model will receive a traditional instrument panel with a small display and a central touch 7-inch display. And the Mitsubishi ASX crossover in the maximum configuration will be able to offer fully digital instruments and a 9.3-inch display. However, look at the front panel in general – does it remind you of anything?…

It is currently known that the start of sales of the new Mitsubishi ASX in Europe is scheduled for March 2023. However, the exact configuration and cost of the car are unknown. Also, closer to the start of sales, it will be interesting to compare Mitsubishi’s offer with an analogue from Renault.
