The First Descendant is a Korean Destiny from Nexon

Korean game company Nexon, one of the largest in Asia, presented a free cooperative RPG-shooter The First Descendant, which most resembles Destiny from Bungie, or last year’s Outriders from People Can Fly.

The game has already received a Steam page and is preparing for open beta testing on October 20, 2022.

The developers promise co-op for 4 players, really huge monsters, and a wide range of abilities for the characters. The game is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, so it should look good.

Judging by the trailer, The First Descendant is a pretty standard third-person loot shooter. The main question is how interesting the actual gunplay will be and how aggressive monetization will become after the release. Everyone will be able to evaluate the gameplay in October, as for monetization, you have to wait for the release of the game.
