Smartphones in the middle price range can hardly surprise with 5G support. But even not all flagships can already boast of working with mmWave 5G. For example, not even all iPhones are sold with a separate antenna for this standard (depending on the region). Meanwhile, the new Motorola Edge (2022) has such support and can offer a few more good features for a relatively small amount.

First, its display received a high refresh rate of 144 Hz. This is also not a big novelty for smartphones with this price, but competitors have slower matrices with this indicator at the level of 90-120 Hz. The display diagonal of the new Motorola Edge is 6.6 inches, and the matrix type is OLED.

Secondly, it not only supports fast charging (30 W), but can also recharge at induction stations (15 W) and is even capable of reverse charging (5 W). At the same time, the battery capacity of the smartphone is 5000 mAh.

Such, apparently, little things are more often found in significantly more expensive smartphones.

The smartphone uses a MediaTek Dimensity 1050 processor (two Arm Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of 2.5 GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 with a frequency of 2 GHz), is equipped with memory combinations of 6/128 and 8/256 GB. Among additional communication options, you can find support for Wi-Fi 6e, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2 and several navigation systems.

Three sensors are located in the main camera unit: a wide-angle one with a resolution of 50 MP, an aperture value of ƒ/1.8, and optical stabilization; an additional 2-megapixel depth sensor for portrait shots; as well as an ultra-wide-angle lens with a capture angle of 120°, 13 MP and ƒ/2.2. The front camera in the display cutout received 32 MP and ƒ/2.45.

Also, the smartphone has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos certification, three microphones, protection against moisture at the IP52 level, and the dimensions of its body are 160.86×74.24×8.24 mm with a weight of 170 grams.
