There’s not much left before major updates to iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. But Apple does not forget about current versions of systems that have now received minor updates. They are responsible for security fixes.

Last night, users started receiving notifications about available updates. These are iOS and iPadOS 15.6.1 and macOS 12.5.1. All of them fix kernel and WebKit vulnerabilities that allowed arbitrary code execution. It is noted that the company is aware of cases of use of these vulnerabilities, so the update should not be delayed.

We remind you that to install updates you need to go to Settings -> General -> Software updates (Setting -> General -> Software Updates).

The “major” iOS 16 system update is a month away, with some delay, but iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura should also be released soon. Therefore, most likely, if there are no other urgent security problems, there is no need to wait for new updates of the current versions.
