NVIDIA believes that the metaverse should be filled with realistic avatars of chatbots

Digital assistants like Alexa or Siri can take on a face and personality in the metaverse. Therefore, NVIDIA presented the Avatar Cloud Engine – a tool for creating 3D models of people who will be able to talk and help users interact with the metaverse.

The tool builds on NVIDIA’s expertise in 3D graphics and artificial intelligence, which has revolutionized the way computers understand and use human language to communicate.

Avatars can be the next step in computer interaction. In the metaverse, computer-based 3D residents will be able to manage their investments, give them a house tour, or teach them how to knit.

NVIDIA notes that avatars are getting closer to passing the Turing test. This means that users will not be able to distinguish them from people. However, on the way to convincing avatars, developers will have to overcome many more challenges.
