Samsung has updated its line of smart watches with the Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro models, which are designed to track users’ physical activity and sports.

Both watches are equipped with the Samsung BioActive sensor, which combines three sensors – optical for reading heart rate, electrocardiogram (ECG) and bioimpedance analysis. Together, they provide comprehensive metrics, including heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and stress levels. In addition, with blood pressure and ECG monitoring directly from the wrist, users will be able to better understand the state of their heart. Although these data are not medical indicators, they can help detect abnormalities in the early stages. Since 2020, Samsung has expanded these functions to 63 markets, including Ukraine.

Thanks to the increased contact area with the wrist, the Galaxy Watch5 tracks health indicators more accurately than the Galaxy Watch4. BioActive, in combination with other sensors of the Galaxy Watch5 series, including a temperature sensor, provides users with a better understanding of their body’s indicators. The temperature sensor uses a technology for measurement that provides more accurate readings, even if the ambient temperature changes.

The watch also allows you to analyze your body composition, schedule personalized workouts and track your progress. Another important component of smart watches is sleep tracking. Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro use Sleep Scores, which allows the user to better understand sleep patterns (tracks sleep stages, determines snoring and blood oxygen levels), and the Sleep Coaching indicator – to improve sleep habits through an individually selected monthly program.

Galaxy Watch5 received additional protection against external influences: Samsung used sapphire glass for the first time in the Galaxy Watch line, which, according to the company, provides a 60% harder coating.

Galaxy Watch5 Pro is a completely new model that replaced the Classic series and is positioned as a model for users who prefer hiking, long cycling and outdoor recreation. The watch also has a sapphire crystal, but for the first time for the Galaxy Watch series, it has a titanium case. The Galaxy Watch5 Pro also comes with a new, stronger D-Buckle Sport Band18.

Starting from August 10, Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro will be available for pre-order and will go on sale in Ukraine from September 16. The Galaxy Watch5 will be available in graphite, sapphire, and silver for the large 44mm model, and graphite, rose gold, and silver for the smaller 40mm model. The recommended price of the Galaxy Watch5 starts at UAH 10,999 for the Bluetooth version and UAH 12,999 for the LTE version.

Galaxy Watch5 Pro has one size – 45 mm and a body in titanium black and titanium gray colors. Its price starts at UAH 17,999 for the Bluetooth version and UAH 19,999 for LTE.
