According to The Hollywood Reporter, the third season of The Witcher will have to wait: its production had to pause. The culprit is COVID-19, or rather, its new outbreak.

Rumors are currently circulating on the Internet that the performer of the main role, Henry Cavill, has received a positive result of the test for COVID-19 – Netflix has not commented on this, as well as the representative of the actor, but the company made a statement that “filming has been suspended due to COVID, but we will resume it as soon as it is safe to do so.”

As a reminder, this is not the first time that The Witcher has suffered due to the Covid epidemic: the production of the second season at the end of 2020 also had to be suspended when four members of the crew had a positive Covid test.
