Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio got its first teaser trailer

Puppet animation film Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, which is being filmed by Netflix Animation, has finally received its first more or less complete trailer (although it is called a “teaser”).

As you can see from the title, it is directed by Guillermo del Toro, and a whole “constellation” of actors participates in the voiceover: Ewan McGregor, Ron Perlman, Tilda Swinton, Christoph Waltz, Cate Blanchett. The design of the strip is based on the works of Gris Grimly, who illustrated the reprint of The Adventures of Pinocchio from 2002 so this version of Pinocchio belongs rather to the “dark fantasy” genre.

Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio is scheduled for release in December, during the Christmas holidays.

By the way, this year we have another Pinocchio – it is shot by Robert Zemeckis and it will be an animated-live action film, that is, it will have a combined live action with animation.
