In May, at the Google I/O conference, the company announced a new virtual wallet with a familiar name – Google Wallet. At the same time, it was reported that it would be launched in the summer.

As a reminder, Google Wallet in most countries should replace Google Pay and the usual “payment” functionality will add the ability to store a large number of other documents: plane or concert tickets, digital IDs, car keys, vaccination certificates, digital hotel keys, etc.

And now the new Google Wallet is starting to appear on smartphones. According to company spokesperson Chaiti Sen, Google has started releasing the application in 39 countries (including Ukraine), and it should appear in all Android smartphone users in the coming days — as an update to Google Pay
