Manufacturer of attack UAVs Bayraktar TB2, Turkish company Baykar released a video showing the first batch of heavy strike drones Bayraktar Akıncı, which are ready to arm the Air Force, Ground Forces and National Intelligence Organization of Turkey. This video shows all seven of the first serial machines of this type.

At the same time, you can see that the first drone in the formation is very well armed. It carries a high-precision Turkish SOM cruise missile produced by ROKETSAN, which has a warhead weighing 230 kg and a target range of up to 275 km with a circular probable deviation of up to 5 m. The SOM missile with a range of 500 km is under development, and in general, it is planned to bring the range of this weapon to 2,500 km.

In addition, the main Bayraktar Akıncı carries two more MK-81/MK-82 bombs equipped with ROKETSAN’s TEBER Guidance Kit, which turns them into guided ones; two MAM-T “smart” microbombs and eight MAM-L. A good set of “gifts” for just one drone.

As a reminder, Bayraktar Akıncı UAVs use Ukrainian AI-450T turboshaft two-rotor engines from Ivchenko-Progress. Akıncı can carry up to 1,350 kg of weapons at 8 external suspension points, climb to a height of 12 km and stay in the air for 25 hours.

Baykar company demonstrated a fleet of Bayraktar Akıncı heavy UAVs, which are ready for transfer to the Turkish Armed Forces
