Lenovo has announced the release of a new generation of Legion and Legion Slim gaming laptops. Both series contain two models: 7i and 7, the letter “i” in the name means Intel processor.

All new products are equipped with 16-inch screens with a resolution of up to 2560×1600 pixels, an aspect ratio of 16:10, and refresh rates from 165 to 240 Hz, depending on the model.

The Lenovo Legion 7i can use 12th generation Intel Core processors – i7-12800HX or i9-12900HX, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8 GB video cards (125 W TGP) or GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 16 GB (175 W TGP) with Max-Q technology. In Lenovo Legion 7 – AMD Ryzen 7 6800H or Ryzen 9 6900HX and AMD Radeon RX6700M 10 GB or RX6850M XT 12 GB. The maximum capacity of RAM is 32 GB, internal storage – SDD up to 2 TB (Gen 4).

Battery capacity in all models is 99.99 W · h, there is support for high-speed charging Super Rapid Charge so that laptops from zero to 100% charge in just 80 minutes. Dimensions of both models, Lenovo Legion 7i and 7, are 358.1 x 263.5 x 19.4 mm, weight – up to 2.5 kg.

As the name implies, Lenovo Legion Slim 7i and Lenovo Legion Slim 7 are more compact and thinner versions of previous models. At the same time we had to reduce the power of the systems a bit – so, in Lenovo Legion Slim 7i Intel Core i5-12500H, i7-12700H, and i9-12900HK processors and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti 4 GB (95 W) TGP), 3060 Ti 6 GB or 3070 Ti 8 GB (both 100 W TGP) graphics cards with Max-Q technology can be installed.

Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is an AMD Ryzen 5 6600H, Ryzen 7 6800H or Ryzen 9 6900HX processor, and AMD Radeon RX6800S 4 GB or Radeon RX6800S 8 GB video cards. The maximum RAM capacity is 24 GB (of which 8 GB is built into the board), for the drive, there are the same options as in the “Big Legions” – SDD up to 2 TB (Gen 4).

As for the screens in the slim versions – in general, the same characteristics as in previous models, except that the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i has a younger version with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and older – with Mini-LED technology.

Battery capacity can be the same as in older models (99.99 W · h), or less – 71 W · h (in the latter case, only Rapid Charge Pro technology is supported, and full charge is significantly longer – 2 years). Dimensions Lenovo Legion Slim 7i and Lenovo Legion Slim 7 are slightly smaller – 357.7 x 256 x 16.9 mm, weight, depending on the specific model, starts at 2.05 kg.

There is no information about the availability of new products in Ukraine yet, they have already gone on sale in the US, and prices start at $1,519 for Legion Slim 7 and $1,589 for Legion Slim 7i, and $ 2,059 for Legion 7 and $2,449 for Legion 7i.
