After the beginning of the Russian invasion, Ukraine’s domain system underwent massive cyber attacks. Therefore, it was necessary to secure it so that Ukrainians could continue to search, receive, and share information on the Internet. To increase the stability of Ukraine’s domain system, the Internet corporation ICANN has allocated $1 million as reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation. This was the result of joint agreements with Ukrainian stakeholders in the domain agreement industry.

“Together with the teams of Internet providers, administrators, and domain registrars, we continue to support the stable operation of the Internet in the face of armed aggression,” the Ministry of Digital Transformation said.

Thus, users can count on the fact that the Ukrainian Internet, which in the conditions of war already demonstrates quite high stability, will be strengthened by the stable operation of the domain system, with the help of ICANN assistance.
