20th Century Studios and streaming service Hulu (Disney since 2019) presented the first teaser of a horror fantasy film Prey . This is a new part of the famous media franchise Predator, which will be released on Hulu on August 5, 2022.
Prey is a prequel to the whole series. The film takes place in 1719 in America, and a Comanche woman named Naru will be the one who confronts an alien hunter.
The director of the fifth feature film of the franchise (as you probably remember, there were also crossover films, great video games, short films, comics, etc.) was Dan Trachtenberg, known for his first work – the film 10 Cloverfield Lane.
The main role in Prey will be played by a young but already experienced actress Amber Midthunder, known for her roles in the series Legion and Roswell, New Mexico. Amber is originally a Sioux and belongs to the Fort Peck Indian Reservation tribe.
