During the online event called The Pinnacle of Performance, ASUS introduced new lines of high-performance laptops Zenbook Pro and Zenbook S 2022 model year.
Flagship model – Zenbook Pro 16X OLED (UX7602) – according to the company, is “the most powerful Zenbook of all time”. It is made of all-metal body, weighs 2.4 kg and is only 16.9 mm thick. The laptop is equipped with a 12th generation Intel Core i9 12900H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop graphics card.
Named ASUS IceCool Pro, the new cooling system includes two quiet IceBlade fans that cool the evaporator chamber and a 5mm heat pipe connected to CPUs and GPUs. Hot air is vented outside with the new AAS Ultra mechanism, which creates a 14.5 mm high vent when the laptop is opened, and tilts the keyboard at a 7 ° angle. As a result, CPUs and GPUs can run without a throttling with a combined TDP of 140 watts in performance mode, and in standard mode, the noise level does not exceed 40 dB.
The 16-inch OLED HDR touchscreen display (16:10 aspect ratio, 4K resolution, maximum brightness 550 cd / m2) supports Dolby Vision technology, is PANTONE Validated and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified and reproduces 100% of the DCI-P3 color space.
The Zenbook Pro 16X OLED is also equipped with a proprietary ASUS Dial controller, and the enlarged touchpad supports tactile feedback. The battery with a capacity of 96 W · h, according to the company, will be enough for 10 hours of battery life.
Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED (UX8402) is a compact laptop with two screens. The main display is a 14.5” OLED HDR touchscreen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 2.8K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports Dolby Vision technology, is PANTONE Validated and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, and has a peak brightness of 500 cd/m2.
The laptop can be equipped with Intel Core i9-12900H processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop graphics card with ASUS IceCool Plus cooling system and a possible total TDP of up to 85 watts. Thanks to the AAS Ultra mechanism, the ScreenPad Plus touchscreen (12.7 ”diagonal) automatically tilts at an angle of 12 °, which is convenient for touch control and content viewing.
Also in the line of “dual-screen” laptops there is a slightly larger model – Zenbook Pro 15 Duo OLED (UX582) , with a 15.6-inch main display, Intel Core i9-12900H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop. In addition, the Zenbook Pro series includes a new 15.6-inch laptop-transformer Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED (UP6502) and Zenbook Pro 17 (UM6702) – the first 17.3-inch Zenbook.
The Zenbook S series of thin and light laptops also received two new 13.3-inch models: a tablet laptop Zenbook S 13 Flip OLED (UP5302)(UP5302) b > and “traditional” Zenbook S 13 OLED (UM5302), which the manufacturer calls the lightest in the world 13,3-inch laptop with OLED screen.
The ErgoLift hinge opens the Zenbook S 13 Flip OLED screen to any angle up to 360 °, so the device can be used both as a laptop and as a tablet. The body of the laptop is made of magnesium-aluminum alloy and is presented in two new colors. At 14.9 mm thick, it weighs only 1.1 kg, and is based on the 12th generation Intel Core i7 processor in the maximum configuration.
The traditional Zenbook S 13 OLED model is also made in a magnesium-aluminum alloy body, 14.9 mm thick and weighs only 1 kg. The maximum configuration includes an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor and an AMD Radeon 680M graphics card, up to 19 hours battery life. The 2.8K, 4:10 HDR, 16:10 aspect ratio OLED display is PANTONE Validated and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified and reproduces 100% of the DCI-P3’s color space.
