The first-person shooter Doom, which became a cult in its genre, was released in 1993. However, almost 30 years later, fans are once again making it interesting with new mods.

Last week, the Sultim-t moder released the Doom Ray Traced mod, which adds real-time ray tracing to Doom. This basically leads to an impressive result, with many levels featuring a sense of atmosphere they didn’t have before.

Unfortunately, mod can only be run by NVIDIA GPUs, there is no support for AMD graphics cards yet. To install Doom Ray Traced, you will need the original Doom.wad file and the PrBoom port. Thereafter, you can play the first three levels of the shooter with modern lighting.
