DOT-Chain Defence, a weapons marketplace for the Defence Forces, has launched in Ukraine

- 7 July, 10:36 AM

A new digital system, DOT-Chain Defence, has been launched in Ukraine, which speeds up and simplifies the supply of weapons to the Defense Forces. This was announced by Defence Minister Rustem Umerov, the Ministry of Defense reports.

This is a kind of weapons marketplace, created for the operational support of the front. 10 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will participate in the pilot launch - the Ministry of Defence has allocated a billion hryvnias to the Defence Procurement Agency for this.

According to the department, with this money, brigades will be able to order FPV drones through the IT system of the State Logistics Operator, and soon other types of UAVs, electronic warfare equipment, and robotic complexes.

The report also states that each military unit will have the opportunity to choose exactly what it needs to perform its tasks. At the same time, the Defence Procurement Agency will ensure financing and delivery without unnecessary bureaucracy. The Ministry of Defence added that now the delivery will take place not in months, but in a few weeks.

DOT-Chain Defence is designed based on the military food supply model.

How the system works:

· Military personnel independently select, order and reserve the necessary equipment, see delivery times, leave feedback and receive quick responses;

· Manufacturers receive a clear mechanism for cooperation with the state and the army, as well as direct feedback from the military;

· The state sees the real needs of the front, makes decisions based on data, supports the development of the defense industry and the introduction of innovations.

Recall that in June, the procurement agencies of the Ministry of Defence, the Defence Procurement Agency and the State Logistics Operator, presented the functionality of the IT system during an online meeting with representatives of more than fifty military units.
