The Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) has announced preparations for the launch of the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace, which will allow manufacturers of codified FPV drones to offer their products directly to the military.
"The marketplace format will allow all manufacturers of codified products to offer them through transparent market-based instruments — as it is the military personnel themselves who will select the drones they require via DOT-Chain Defence. In addition, the system includes a pre-order function, which enables companies to clearly understand the demand volume for their products," comments Arsen Zhumadilov, Director of AOZ.
In 2025, the state budget has allocated over UAH 128 billion for the purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles, part of which will be implemented through DOT-Chain Defence. Contracts will be concluded based on orders from the system. Product prices will be fixed for a certain period, and the volume of orders will be determined by the military themselves.
At the first stage, only verified FPV drone manufacturers can join the platform. Companies that have not yet passed the verification procedure can do so via the AOZ website in the For suppliers section.
Verified companies will receive requests for commercial offers along with an application, where the characteristics of each unmanned aerial vehicle must be separately specified. Namely:
- type of drone, its name and photo;
- frame and its size;
- electric motor, propellers, battery;
- control receiver and camera frequency;
- video transmitter and frequencies, radio transmitter antenna
- application height and radius of action, etc.;
This data will become part of the product description in DOT-Chain Defense, where the military will be able to select drones based on their technical characteristics.
