On the Ukrainian front, as throughout the world, Starlink internet disappeared

- 25 July, 12:39 AM

On the evening of July 24, at about 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time, a large-scale failure of the Starlink satellite internet was recorded. The lack of signal is observed by both civilian users and military personnel on the front lines in Ukraine. In particular, the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert "Magyar" Broudi, confirmed the information that Starlink communication "fell" across the entire front.

The loss of satellite internet at the front could have negative consequences, as Starlink remains an important element of communication for units on the front lines, allowing them to quickly coordinate actions and transmit relevant information to the command. In addition, the system's equipment is used to control drones and provides internet access to residents of front-line areas.

Starlink connectivity issues have also been reported in many countries around the world. According to Downdetector, over 60,000 complaints about Starlink were received in the first half hour, but the number of complaints is now decreasing.

Starlink also officially confirmed the global outage on its X page and said it was "actively working to resolve the issue."

Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, which owns Starlink, apologized for the outage and said that the connection would be restored soon. He added that SpaceX would fix the root cause of the outage to ensure that similar problems do not occur in the future.
