The Verkhovna Rada has approved amendments to the state budget for 2025 and increased funding for the creation of technological game-changers that will create military innovations. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

It has been announced that the updated Brave1 grant program will receive approximately UAH 2.77 billion. The money will be directed to the development of high-tech solutions that can change the course of war.

For example, these are artificial intelligence systems and autonomous missions, a missile program, scaling up explosives production, as well as supporting innovations in the areas of UAVs, ground robotic complexes (GRCs), unmanned boats (UBCs), electronic warfare/electronic warfare systems, and other systems.

In addition, the BraveTech EU project has already been launched, which will operate as a joint grant fund for startups from Ukraine and the EU. It will bring together Ukrainian and European startups, militaries, governments, and engineers to create game-changers on the battlefield.

Another UAH 1.42 billion will be allocated for testing and trials of special equipment both at training grounds and in combat conditions. In addition, UAH 69.4 million will be allocated for strengthening the cyber defense of the infrastructure of the "Diya" application.

"We need to be constantly prepared for cyber threats and invest in the state's cybersecurity. It is critically important for us to ensure the security and stability of "Diia", therefore we are updating the infrastructure in accordance with the new challenges of cyberwar," the minister said.

By the way, on August 18, Mykhailo Fedorov announced that next week the Brave1 defense cluster will launch three new grant programs aimed at supporting Ukrainian manufacturers of explosives, autonomous drones, and missiles.
