Ukraine completes construction of 155 mm ammunition plant
The construction of a production line for the production of 155 mm artillery ammunition is in the final stages before launch, they said at a briefing at the headquarters of the Czech company Czechoslovak Group, which was attended by a Defence journalist.
Last year, the Czechoslovak Group signed an agreement with the Ukrainian Armored Equipment company for the joint production of NATO-caliber shells, which included the transfer of production licenses to the Ukrainian company.
We are talking about 155 mm, 120 mm and 105 mm ammunition. As "Militarnyi" previously wrote, in 2025 the companies planned to jointly supply 100 thousand ammunition, and in 2026 - over 300 thousand.
Representatives of the Czechoslovak Group do not disclose the exact launch date of the new Ukrainian plant, but noted that the site will be located in a place with a low risk of missile strikes.
Czechoslovak Group is a large European defense corporation with manufacturing capabilities in various countries around the world. In particular, it owns a Spanish plant for the production of gunpowder, which is necessary for the production of artillery ammunition. The company also recently bought a German plant for the production of nitrocellulose, a key component of gunpowder.
