The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has codified and officially approved for operation in units the NUMO multipurpose ground robotic complex (GRC) from the Tank Bureau company. This is stated in the company's press release, which was received by Defense.

The new product is designed to perform logistical and combat tasks on the front line. NUMO is a tracked platform that is built on a modular principle. This makes it possible to install additional equipment depending on the task. For example, it can be equipped with a turret, a repeater mast, mine trawls or a coil with a "yegoza"  a special anti-personnel barrier in the form of a spiral of reinforced barbed tape .

The NRC is capable of carrying up to 300 kg of cargo, its full weight with load reaches 620 kg. The robot has a range of up to 25 km in the basic configuration and up to 40 km with additional batteries. The speed reaches 7 km/h, and the drone's ground clearance (the distance from the lowest point to the ground) is 235 mm. At the same time, the system deployment time does not exceed 10 minutes.

According to the company brochure, up to six communication systems can be installed on the NRK, which can be switched by priority: Wi-Fi (basic option, distance up to 1.5 km), DTC, Silvus, Starlink, LTE and SineLink (optional options that can be installed on request). It is also noted that the robot can work in difficult conditions  forest, swamp, shelter.

In addition, NUMO became the basis for the Droid TW combat system. This is a remotely controlled reconnaissance and strike solution with a combat module for KT-7.62 (PKT) or M2 Browning 12.7 machine guns. It was developed by the Tank Bureau and DevDroid companies.

The Droid TW-12.7 variant with a large-caliber machine gun is already being used by 30 brigades on the front line.

"GRCs partially replace humans on the battlefield — they deliver provisions, carry out evacuations, and work where the risk is too high. NUMO is already successfully used by the military in missions, and its codification confirms the practical readiness and value of the complex," said Nazar Pryimak, director of the Tank Bureau.

He also stated that the company is actively developing and testing new GRCs, and plans to codify several more products by the end of this year.

As previously reported, Ukraine will receive over 150 THeMIS ground robots from an Estonian company. They will complement the 15 THeMIS that are already in operation in Ukraine and have proven their effectiveness on the battlefield since 2022.
