Ukraine has developed a combat NRC that can withstand multiple hits from FPV drones

Ukrainian miltech companies DevDroid and Rovertech have presented a new reconnaissance and strike ground robotic complex Zmiy Droid 12.7, which combines the "Zmiy" platform from Rovertech with the Wolly 12.7 combat module produced by DevDroid. Militarnyi writes about this.

The complex is designed for remote reconnaissance, fire support and target engagement. Its hull is protected from anti-personnel mines and is able to withstand multiple hits from FPV drones, which allows the Zmiy Droid 12.7 to be used in difficult combat conditions.

Key features include a silent electric motor, a range of up to 50 km, a towing capacity of up to 700 kg, and the ability to traverse swampy terrain, sand, snow, rocks, and water obstacles. The platform is adapted to mount a 12.7 mm M2 Browning machine gun, and control, including fire, is fully remote via multiple communication channels.

The drone is equipped with artificial intelligence to detect, capture and track targets, and has a built-in ballistic computer to improve accuracy. The optics include narrow-angle, wide-angle cameras and a thermal imager, ensuring effective operation day and night.

Separately, DevDroid developers noted the integration of the proprietary Droid Box - a software solution for adapting software to different platforms. The control system allows the operator to control the platform and the combat module simultaneously or separately.

The complex is already ready for front-line use and is at the codification stage.

By the way, in Ukraine they also created a ground-based robot-queen for simultaneously launching six FPV drones.
