Ukraine presented the UNEX UGV amphibious ground drone, created for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
On September 19 in Lviv, during the Defense Tech Valley investment summit, the Unmanned Ground Solutions company presented the UNEX UGV remotely controlled amphibious vehicle, designed for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is reported by News.LIVE.
The head of the company, Mykola Kozlov, reported that the platform is capable of performing tasks at a distance of up to 30 km from the operator, and one charge is enough for 6 hours of movement.
The UNEX UGV's primary purpose is to transport cargo, including ammunition, as well as integrate with other military or civilian systems. The vehicle is fully electric, which provides low noise and a reduced thermal footprint, which can be an advantage in combat conditions.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially admitted the UNEX UGV to service in the Defense Forces in April 2025. The platform is similar in layout to the SHERP all-terrain vehicle, which is produced in Ukraine and Europe and has several modifications used in various fields.
These machines are distinguished by huge low-pressure tires with a diameter of 160 cm, which allow them to easily overcome swamps, snow, stones and water obstacles, as well as float to the surface and move on water.
The design with wide tires and optimal weight distribution creates less ground pressure than an infantryman, which helps avoid being blown up by anti-vehicle mines.
During a demonstration in Lviv, the UNEX UGV drove over a ceramic plate and a coffee cup without damaging them, highlighting its ability to move delicately.
By the way, Ukraine presented a new ground-based drone VATAG with a 25-mm cannon, which performs "heavy" logistics and destruction tasks.
