For the first time since the full-scale invasion, Russia attacked Kharkiv with an FPV drone with a warhead based on a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher. This was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov.
"For the first time during the entire full-scale invasion, the enemy used an FPV drone with an RPG-based warhead. This is a new, even more insidious threat, indicating an attempt to find "vulnerable spots" in the city's defense," he wrote on Telegram.
Commenting on the shelling of Kharkiv in general from May 19 to 25, the mayor reported seven hits. According to him, 11 people, including a child, were injured over the past week.
It was previously reported that due to the massive use of FPV drones on the front, the "gray zone" has significantly expanded. Senior Sergeant of the Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade Yuri "Lys" said that a year ago the gray zone was approximately from 500 meters to 2 kilometers. Now it has expanded to 5-6 kilometers, and in some directions up to 7 kilometers.
The sergeant major is also convinced that modern warfare is less and less like traditional infantry battles, it is turning into a confrontation between drones and long-range strike systems.
