Ukroboronprom will master the repair of Airbus aircraft
Ukrainian aviation enterprises will master the maintenance and repair of Airbus aircraft. The European company and JSC "Ukrainian Defense Industry" agreed on this during the Le Bourget International Air Show.
The parties signed a trilateral Memorandum of Cooperation, which provides for the education and training of Ukrainian specialists to work with European equipment. This will allow for the repair of Airbus equipment that performs tasks in the Ukrainian Defense Forces at Ukrainian factories.
A visit by Airbus representatives to Ukraine has already been announced, where they will help form groups of specialists who will begin studying technologies and documentation of European equipment. Following the training, representatives of Ukroboronprom enterprises will receive the status of instructors.
It should be noted that several types of Airbus aircraft are in service in Ukraine. The fleet of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine includes Eurocopter EC145 and Airbus H225 Super Puma helicopters, which rescuers use for evacuating the wounded and extinguishing fires. The National Police and the State Border Guard Service use the European Airbus H125 and Airbus H145 for patrolling, transporting personnel and hunting for "Shaheeds", and the National Guard uses the Airbus H225 Super Puma for logistical tasks.
In addition, one Airbus A319CJ aircraft of the state aviation enterprise "Ukraine" transports the country's top military and political leadership during foreign trips.
Interestingly, the European aviation concern Airbus is actively studying the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war and is working on adapting its equipment for various hybrid tasks. At the aforementioned Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, the aviation giant presented the concept of transforming its A400M military transport aircraft into a platform for launching and controlling a swarm of small drones.
