Ukroboronprom has agreed on the production of ammunition with the Belgian company KNDS

One of the enterprises of JSC Ukrainian Defence Industry has concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Belgian designer and manufacturer of ammunition KNDS Belgium SA. This is stated in a message from Ukroboronprom.

The document states the intention to organize a joint procurement of medium-caliber rounds. The ammunition is used for firing from automatic guns and defeating manpower, light armored vehicles, and low-flying air targets.

"We are gradually expanding the geography of our international partnerships, searching for and finding new areas of interaction. This benefits the Ukrainian Defense Forces and our defense-industrial complex, which seeks to integrate into the global arms industry of NATO countries," said Oleh Hulyak, Director General of Ukroboronprom.

KNDS Belgium designs and manufactures a wide range of ammunition. It is a supplier to NATO, the Belgian Army and many other countries.

The KNDS Belgium website states that the company was founded in 1938. Its product range includes, among others, ammunition for lightly armored vehicles, tanks and infantry fighting vehicles (from 25 mm to 120 mm), mortar and artillery ammunition.
