The Ukrainian company UkrArmoTech intends to demonstrate a prototype of its own tracked vehicles by the end of 2025. This was stated by the manufacturer's director Gennady Khirgiy, Defense Express writes.
"We are paying attention to various niches for the development and production of new products, including tracked vehicles - they are currently in short supply, and there is no good offer of various types of tracked vehicles. Therefore, our task is to demonstrate a prototype of tracked vehicles by the end of this year," he said.
According to the director of UkrArmoTech, the machine will be completely developed by the company. Both Ukrainian specialists and foreign consultants are involved in its creation. Other details about the project have not yet been disclosed.
At the same time, the media suggests that it may be a tracked armored vehicle, which will be created taking into account the operation by the Defense Forces of other similar foreign models, in particular the American M113 armored personnel carrier.
Defense Express also suggests that initially UkrArmoTech will use a certain percentage of Western components to create the vehicle, with the aim of localizing the production of the new model of equipment as much as possible.
By the way, recently UkrArmoTech announced the successful completion of the codification of its new armored combat vehicle GYURZA-02. The company specified that half a year passed from the idea to the first manufactured samples of the ABM. During this time, the vehicle has been tested and is ready for serial production.
