Ukrainian Buntar-3 vertical take-off drone being prepared for mass production
Ukrainian defense tech company Buntar Aerospace told Oboronka about its Buntar-3 reconnaissance complex. According to the developers, it has already been tested in real battles in the Bryansk, Belgorod, Kupyansk, Lysychansk, Pokrovsky, Kurakhiv, and Svatyiv directions.
Buntar Aerospace explained that the reconnaissance complex functions as a holistic system – from mission planning to analytics, with a single management interface through its own software.
"Buntar-3 is not a separate board, but a full-fledged system. It is based on the operator's own developed Copilot - a "combat assistant". It predicts mission scenarios, helps to avoid mistakes in stressful conditions, calculates the sequence of flights, provides continuous coverage and centralized broadcast from several cameras. All control is in one interface, which can simultaneously control several boards," the company explained.
Among the key characteristics of the Buntar-3 reconnaissance complex:
· 3.5 hours in the air;
· 80 km tactical radius;
· detection of targets at a distance of up to 15 km;
· operation of the complex without GPS;
· resistance to electronic warfare;
· possibility of rotary takeoff and landing.
"The modern battlefield is a dynamic place where everything changes: signals, electronic warfare modes, tactics. The Buntar-3 architecture allows you to quickly adapt both the hardware and the brain – the Copilot software – to the specific request of the unit, " the Ukrainian company added.
They also added that they are starting contracting and preparing to launch mass production. For security reasons, the volumes are not disclosed.
