The specialized armored vehicle Varta 2 has passed all the necessary tests, completed the codification process and received the right to be supplied to the Defense Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by Ukrainian Armored Vehicles.
According to the company's CEO Vladislav Belbas, the manufacturer is ready to launch the armored car into mass production. He noted that there is a need for vehicles of this class at the front today.
"From the beginning of the presentation of the prototype to today, we have received many requests from the military regarding the Varta 2, which indicates a high need for armored vehicles of this class on the front. After all, in addition to the speed and mobility that are necessary in the conditions of modern warfare, the Varta 2 has a high level of protection. And the load-carrying capacity reserve, which makes it possible to integrate a combat module, provides the Varta 2 with unprecedented firepower for the class of armored vehicles, necessary to support infantry and destroy enemy armored vehicles," the company's CEO noted.
He added that the company codified, in particular, variants of the Varta 2 SBA equipped with a turret and a combat module.
Recall that Ukrainian Armored Vehicles presented the Varta 2 armored combat wheeled vehicle at the International Defense Industry Exhibition MSPO 2024 in Kielce (Poland). It was developed in just six months. According to the company, the vehicle is equipped with a modern fire extinguishing system and has increased mine resistance.
