"Ukrainian Armored Vehicles" launched mass production of the medical version of the Novator armored car
The Novator 2C armored medical evacuation vehicle is already being mass-produced and supplied to combat units. This was announced by the Ukrainian Armored Vehicles company, which presented the armored vehicle at the end of 2024.
"Novator 2C" is developed on the basis of the "Novator" SBA. Its main purpose is the rapid evacuation of the wounded from combat zones or emergency situations, the provision of primary medical care, and the transportation of medical personnel.
According to the manufacturer, the design of the armored vehicle provides protection for the crew and the wounded from fire damage and harmful external factors in all weather conditions and on various types of terrain.
"The main task of the sanitary and evacuation "Novator 2C" is to save lives. Thanks to its technical characteristics, the armored vehicle allows combat medics to reach the most difficult areas and quickly and safely evacuate the wounded. And the installation of special medical equipment allows for emergency assistance and stabilization of the condition of the wounded directly in the vehicle," said Vladyslav Belbas, General Director of "Ukrainian Armored Vehicles".
The company noted that the Novator 2C is capable of evacuating six wounded in a sitting position or four in a lying position. The vehicle is equipped with a built-in seat for transporting a lying patient, as well as folding shelves for evacuating wounded in various conditions.
In addition, it provides space for installing a defibrillator, ventilator, oxygen system, vital signs monitors, etc. The layout of the armored car allows for the integration of various options for medical equipment - according to the tasks and requirements of a specific unit.
"Novator 2C" provides rapid evacuation from "hot" spots and assistance on the road - thanks to the fixation of life support systems. It also guarantees the safety of medical personnel, the driver and the seriously injured, even under fire.
By the way, in May, "Ukrainian Armored Vehicles" reported that the specialized armored vehicle "Varta 2" had passed all the necessary tests, completed the codification process, and received the right to be supplied to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
