Ukraine is already capable of launching up to 100 long-range drones daily. With the support of partners, our country can reach the level of Russia in terms of the number of drones. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky, reports Suspilne.

"I think that Ukraine also needs to have a thousand drones. By the way, long-range drones, which are complex, we can use 100 per day. And we will have the same as the "Russians", 300-500 per day. We are very close to this. The issue is not in production capabilities. The issue is financial," he said at a meeting with journalists.

The head of state also added that Russia is preparing for production "so that it has the capacity to produce 300-350 drones per day."

"This is their real situation. They were tasked with having 500 per day. I don't think they have it," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

At the same time, the President of Ukraine does not rule out that on certain days the enemy may accumulate supplies and launch up to 1,000 UAVs over our country.

In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on a successful operation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during which a large number of drones were used.

"Recently, we had an interesting strike on them. At the same time, we struck with 400 small drones. More than 40 pieces of equipment were destroyed at the same time. And we took such a step. It was used exclusively by the military on the battlefield. And we will demonstrate to them many times more than this operation," the head of state said.

Volodymyr Zelensky also added that Mirage and F-16 aircraft were involved in shooting down the aggressor's drones. Among other things, Ukraine is developing its own interceptor drones that can combat drones at high altitudes.

"We are moving in the direction of drone-drone interceptors. We are already using them. This was a problem with the Shaheds, which they launched at such an altitude that mobile fire groups could not shoot them down. We found the answer in drone interceptors," the President emphasized.

He added that our country already has the technology, but funding is needed to scale up production.

By the way, the Ministry of Defense recently codified the line of fiber-optic drones Predator REBOFF. The drones have coils with fiber-optic cables from 10 to 20 km long. The development of the drones began in 2023, and in 2024 the first test batches entered the army. Currently, the manufacturer offers five fiber-optic models.
