A complex with FPV drones that can accelerate to 149 km/h has been approved for use in the military
The UD-10 strike unmanned aerial vehicle complex of the Ukrainian company Aero Center has been approved for operation in the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Militarnyi reports this with reference to the manufacturer.
Ukrainian defense forces have been using this complex on the front since 2024. Now it has passed the official codification of the Ministry of Defense.
According to the publication, the "UD-10" consists of 10-inch FPV kamikaze drones, as well as a ground command and control station. Its purpose is to perform combat missions to defeat enemy manpower and equipment.
It is claimed that the drone can fly 15 km with a load weighing 2.5 kg. At the same time, with a maximum payload of 3.5 kg, it is able to overcome 11 km. It will take 5.5 minutes to deploy the complex and prepare it for operation.
"The maximum speed that the drone is capable of, confirmed during codification, is 149 km/h, its cruising speed is 67 km/h," the publication quotes the manufacturer as saying.
The complex's UAVs can be equipped with a 10 km long fiber optic coil, which is codified in Ukraine. In addition, the drones can have digital video communication and a combination of cameras.
According to Aero Center, during the use of the complex in the Pokrovsky direction, pilots of the Unmanned Systems Forces managed to cover 29 km with a drone without losing video.
It was previously reported that "Ukrainian Armored Vehicles" codified its own FPV drone based on a 60-mm fragmentation mine.
