The American company Oshkosh Defense has shown off its FMAV (Family of Multi-mission Autonomous Vehicles) self-propelled launcher family at the AUSA 2025 exhibition in Washington . It includes the X-MAV (Extreme Multi-mission Autonomous Vehicle) — a launcher for Tomahawk cruise missiles, Naval News reports.

It is noted that this version is equipped with four Tomahawk missiles, which is similar to the payload of the Typhon launchers currently in service with the US Army.

"The Oshkosh X-MAV is a purpose-built, autonomous-capable launcher solution that is engineered to support the future of long-range munitions. With a robust chassis for the heaviest payloads, proven off-road mobility, and integrated onboard vehicle power, it’s the ideal foundation to support the Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher Heavy (CAML-H) program for multi-domain missions and formations. The X-MAV will be displayed for the first time with four Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles," the company said in a statement.

Oshkosh also showed the Medium Multi-Purpose Autonomous Vehicle (M-MAV), a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) launcher based on the FMTV medium truck. The M-MAV can fire the entire MLRS munitions family, including the GMLRS, ER-GMLRS, PrSM, ATACMS, and Lockheed Martin’s upcoming Joint Reduced Range Rocket (JR3) missiles.

As you know, US President Donald Trump recently announced his readiness to send Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine if Russia does not stop the war. At the same time, he called this weapon "very offensive."

By the way, in the summer it became known that Germany was studying the possibility of purchasing mobile Typhon launchers from the United States, which are capable of launching long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles.
