The French company Texelis announced the signing of a memorandum with an unnamed Ukrainian defense partner on the creation of a line of armored vehicles in Ukraine. This is reported by Militarnyi referring to La Tribune. As a basic element of the new equipment, they plan to use the Celeris chassis, which is already in service with the French army, in particular in Serval armored vehicles.

Celeris is positioned as a military solution in the 4×4 format, which allows adaptation to the specific needs of industrial partners. The chassis weight is about 3,500 kg without tires and 4,300 kg with them. The total weight of armored vehicles created on its basis varies between 13 and 18.5 tons.

Texelis offers a 375 hp Cummins ISL9 Euro 3 diesel engine as standard with an Allison 3200SP automatic transmission. The complex provides a maximum speed of over 100 km/h (depending on configuration), as well as a reverse speed of up to 15 km/h and a minimum speed of 5 km/h.

The company's marketing director, Marin Tolle, emphasized that Texelis is ready to support the creation of armored vehicles in Ukraine according to NATO standards in the post-war period. If local production in Ukraine is approved, the project could become an important stage of development for Texelis in the Ukrainian arms market.

By the way, France recently expressed its willingness to accept additional Ukrainian pilots for training on Mirage aircraft.
