Ukrainian company Swarmer has raised $15 million to develop drone swarms based on artificial intelligence, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced.
"Swarmer, which develops AI-based solutions for drone autonomy, has raised $15 million from investors from the US: Broadband Capital Investments, RG.AI, D3 Ventures, Green Flag Ventures, Radius Capital, and Network VC. This is the largest investment in a Ukrainian defense technology company since the beginning of the war," the minister explained.
Mikhail Fedorov noted that Swarmer technologies have already proven their effectiveness on the battlefield, and Western investments will allow the company to provide swarm capabilities to every drone. This will allow the deployment of an unlimited number of drones and robots, regardless of the number of trained pilots.
It was previously reported that the American company Auterion will supply Ukraine with 33,000 AI kits for combat drones. In addition, the American system will also allow any drone to be given swarm capabilities.
