On September 11, the Swedish government presented the 20th package of military aid to Ukraine, totaling $836 million. This was announced by Swedish Defense Minister Pal Jonson.

The package includes the supply of 18 new Archer artillery systems, which will increase the total number of such installations in Ukraine to 44 units. It also includes the purchase of 155-mm shells worth $327 million. According to Jonsson, the Ukrainian military has positively assessed the effectiveness of Archer during combat operations.

In the maritime sector, Sweden plans to purchase $190 million worth of equipment, including mobile coastal radar systems, new support vessels with grenade launchers, and unmanned systems. In addition, 32 Class 90 combat boats will be retrofitted with new sensors, weapons, and radars.

The Swedish Armed Forces will also transfer equipment worth $12.7 million to Ukraine, including 500 motorcycles, trucks, and tractors to support air bases.

The Tridon Mk 2 anti-aircraft systems donated to Ukraine by Sweden will receive additional radars and control systems, as well as more programmable 40 mm ammunition. Separately, $68 million in funding has been provided for participation in international coalitions aimed at developing defense capabilities.

The package also contains classified systems and projects that are not publicly announced.

"The Russian army can expect Swedish-Ukrainian surprises going forward. Sweden will continue to put hard pressure on Russia until they stop this war," said Pal Jonson.

Recall that in the previous military aid package worth €130 million, Sweden transferred to Ukraine more than 10 new barrels for the Archer self-propelled guns, long-range and underwater vehicles, and other equipment.
