American actor Liev Schreiber called for donations to Sky Sentinel AI turret to protect Ukrainian skies
American actor and UNITED24 ambassador Liev Schreiber has recorded a video calling for people to join the fundraising effort for the Sky Sentinel AI turret, UNITED24 reported.
It is noted that such turrets help shoot down Russian drones and missiles. In doing so, they automatically identify targets, aim at them, and open fire.
In his address, Schreiber mentioned the strikes on Ukrainian cities, including Odessa, where his family is from.
"Despite all this, Ukrainians have not lost hope. That is why I support UNITED24 and call on you to do the same. Your support is our shared responsibility for a peaceful future," Schreiber emphasized.
Liev Schreiber is known for his roles in the films X-Men, Scream, Salt and other Hollywood movies.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine has created an AI turret Sky Sentinel to protect against Russian missiles and drones. The system is equipped with a large-caliber machine gun that can rotate 360° and hit targets at speeds up to 800 km/h.
