Flash: Russians mount budget cameras with 4 MP resolution on Shaheds
In the Shahed models with cameras, the Russians use budget devices with a resolution of 4 MP. This was reported by Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, a specialist in the field of military radio technologies.
"We managed to find parts of the Shahed with a camera. I recognized it as a budget HiWatch DS-I453m IP camera. The resolution of 4 megapixels is, of course, good, but there is no question of high-altitude reconnaissance with this type of camera," he noted.
According to the specialist, the camera will definitely allow the enemy to see the operation of air defense systems from the ground and accurately guide the Shahed to the target during the approach.
"Without suspension, the whole picture shakes and jerks," added Flash.
In August of this year, a specialist in the field of military radio technology said that cameras appeared on the Shaheds. At that time, it was unknown why the enemy was installing video cameras in these drones and how exactly they were used. But it was possible to say for sure that the aggressor was trying to obtain video images during the Shahed's flight up to the moment of the strike.
Previously, the specialist stated that the enemy had begun attaching anti-tank mine cassettes to the Shaheds. He also showed how the enemy had learned to use the Shaheds to mine logistics.
