The Security Service of Ukraine has released some footage from the special operation "Web". According to the service, 41 Russian strategic aviation military aircraft were hit during the operation - some of them were irretrievably destroyed, and some aircraft will take years to rebuild.
The SSU footage recorded strikes by FPV drones on four enemy airfields: "Olenya", "Ivanovo", "Dyagilevo" and "Belaya". These airbases were home to the strategic aviation of the aggressor state, which regularly shelled peaceful Ukrainian cities.
The SSU lists that among the affected aircraft are the A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22, Tu-160, as well as the An-12 and Il-78.
"During the operation, modern UAV control technology was used, which combines autonomous artificial intelligence algorithms and manual operator intervention," the SSU said in a statement.
The service explained that some of the UAVs, due to loss of signal, switched to performing a mission using AI along a pre-planned route. And after approaching and contacting a specifically designated target, the warhead was automatically activated.
Earlier, the SSU reported that the estimated value of the equipment damaged as a result of the special operation "Website" exceeds $ 7 billion.
